Debt Freedom USA is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Legal Specialist to support our debt settlement operations. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in the debt settlement industry, with a strong preference for candidates who have worked directly on legal settlement processing, creditor negotiations, litigation accounts, or law firm communication.
This role requires strong organizational skills, accuracy, professionalism, and the ability to manage sensitive client and creditor information in a fast-paced environment.
Review and process legal settlement offers and related documentation.
Communicate with creditors, collection agencies, attorneys, and law firms regarding settlement terms.
Track legal accounts, deadlines, settlement statuses, and required follow-ups.
Assist with preparing, reviewing, and organizing settlement agreements.
Ensure settlement terms are accurately documented in internal systems.
Coordinate with internal departments to support timely settlement approvals and payments.
Monitor accounts involving litigation, judgments, summons, or attorney representation.
Maintain accurate notes, records, and account updates.
Support compliance with company policies, client confidentiality standards, and applicable procedures.
Escalate urgent legal account matters to management as needed.
Previous experience in debt settlement, debt resolution, collections, legal processing, or financial services required.
Experience processing legal settlements is strongly preferred.
Familiarity with creditor negotiations, collection law firms, settlement agreements, and litigation-related accounts.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work with sensitive and confidential information.
Comfortable using CRM systems, spreadsheets, email, and document management tools.
Strong follow-up skills and ability to meet deadlines.
Professional, dependable, and highly organized.
Debt settlement company experience.
Legal department or legal support experience.
Experience communicating with law firms or attorney offices.
Knowledge of settlement payment workflows.
Experience reviewing legal notices, summons, complaints, or judgment-related documentation.
